Inspired by long chats about looking at earth from space, the space race, cold war and an Andy Warhol quote which described the act of drinking a can of coke as a universal, equalising experience. The song explores an imagined tense interaction between an American and Russian astronaut launching into space and eventually bonding over a can of coke. The track is peppered with hidden nods to Coca-Cola slogans and adverts, and the sounds of a can opening and fizzing are even buried into the percussion.
